Molten Voltage : Whammy Mods : Digitech Whammy 4 Modifications

Molten Voltage is proud to offer eight different modifications to your Digitech Whammy IV (WH-4) pedal,
seven of which we invented:

~ Pitch Limiter Controls ~

We can add rotary controls which allow you to change the upper or lower limits of the expression pedal!

With these controls you can dial in any pitch between three octaves down (when in the divebomb mode) and two octaves up. Whichever pitches you select set the limits of the expression pedal.

The controls also work in any of the harmony settings allowing you to dial in any harmony between one octave down and one octave up. You can order just one Pitch Limiter Control, but by using both Pitch Limiter Controls, you can dial in any combination of harmony settings between an octave down and an octave up. To do so, rock the expression pedal back and dial in the Lower Pitch Limter Control first, then rock the expression pedal foward and dial in the Upper Pitch Limiter Control.

Our Upper and Lower Pitch Limiter Controls add a whole new dimension to the Whammy. Check out this video to see the Pitch Limiter Controls in action as well as all the other mods:

~ Pitch Limiter Switches ~

We can add low-profile heavy-duty mini-toggle switches that switch on and off the Upper or Lower Pitch Limiter Controls.

~ Pitch Limiter Bypass Footswitch ~

We can add a jack and an external footswitch to bypass one or both Pitch Limiter Controls.

~ Footswitch Mode Select Jack ~

We can add a 1/4" jack so you can plug in any normally open [off] momentary pushbutton switch and step sequentially through Whammy's settings.

Whammy's rotary encoder will still function, but once in a while after using the rotary encoder the footswitch will stop working until you spin the encoder once or twice again. However if you just stick with the footswitch, you won't have this problem.

Note that you will need a normally open [off] momentary pushbutton switch with a 1/4" connector if you don't already have one.

~ True Bypass ~

We can add true bypass to your Whammy using a heavy duty 3PDT switch and a bright orange LED indicating when the effect is engaged. We also replace the original Whammy 4 pushbutton switch with a super rugged mini pushbutton mounted on top.

~ LED Replacement ~

We can replace any of the stock red LEDs on your Whammy in one of eight different colors so you can tell what mode you are in onstage at a glance.

Specify both Color and Mode.

Shown are Green Diffused (Octave Down>Octave Up); Yellow Transparent (5th Up>7th Up); Blue Transparent (Shallow Detune); Blue Diffused (Deep Detune); Orange Clear (2 Octaves Up); Orange Diffused (Octave Up); Yellow Diffused (Drop Tune); and Red Transparent (2 Octaves Down and Effect On indicator).

The actual colors are much more vivid and accurate than shown in this photo.

~ MIDI Controllers ~

To order, you will need to send us an email describing all the Whammy 4 mods you want and tell us the address where we will be shipping the finished product.

We will send you a PayPal money Request which itemizes the cost of your order.

You will then prepay with PayPal (you don't have to sign up for an account if you don't want to). Once payment is confirmed, we will forward shipping instructions.

Mods take 1-2 weeks and are returned via USPS Priority Mail.
